Abstract:  

 

Teaching EFL to Young Learners sessions is a hands-on session for teachers of English to Young Learners and Teens from around the world. The session will focus on activities that engage young learners. Teachers will use FlipGrid for student speaking, limited resource classroom activities, board games, and learn a storybook reading improvisational play activity. Padlet and Wakelet for collaborative reflections, and Screencast-o-matic and Vimeo to record their screens and create video tutorials.   


 

Target audience:

 

TEFL2YL is designed for teachers, parents, caregivers, and everyone involved in teaching young learners and teens irrespective of context or degree of experience.

Sheryl McCoy, an EVO TEFL Coordinator preparing for the 2022 EVO TEFL teacher development sessions, is celebrating more than 45 years of teaching, three decades in public school settings. She holds BS and MS degrees, as well as additional courses and training in three  integrated learning areas: STEM, English Language Arts, Psychology and Social Science areas. 

Because Sheryl believes that learning belongs in the life path of students, she’s gathered a cornucopia of Special Education courses, learning, and training to help people in a positively, successful learning experience. Her love of  learning, her care for people, and her expertise helps her implement individualized educational programs that span preschool to college level interactions and courses.
